Philosophy
We all know the anxiety and the stress of finding a safe, fun, and educational place for your child when you're away from them. At Sprouts of Joy Daycare we provide a safe, fun and an educational home for your child.
We incorporate educational programs and build social skills in a group and school setting. We attend and care to each child as an individual and care for their unique needs. We move forward with each child starting as young as six weeks old.

Elisa Alicea
After 20 years in the child care service business, I've always dreamed of operating my own center. Well the time has come and I've just fulfilled my dream. My passion and dedication to work with children has enabled me much success throughout the years and will continue in this new venture.
Here are a few fun fact about me: I love to dance, go bike riding with my kids, and I love grilling all year long!

Janelle Schmidt
Working closely with children for 16 years now, giving nurture, love and guidance is my focus. I'm excited to continue my education in Early Childhood and I look forward to developing my skills along with the children I work closely with.

Stephanie Santucci
Since age 17 babysitting and becoming a nanny sparked an interest in Early Childhood so it was only natural to go into a daycare setting.
Here are a few fun fact about me: I love to paint, draw and read.
Achievement and/or Accreditations: Certificate Medical Assistant and Certified Phlebotomy Tech.
Languages Supported: English
All of our staff is required to complete the following:
- A criminal history background check
- A background check with DCFS
- Physical and TB test and followed up on annual basis.
- First Aid/CPR training and followed up on annually.
- Shaken baby syndrome and safe sleep practices.
- Positive discipline techniques.

At Sprouts of Joy Daycare, we believe that children create their own meanings to the world around them. They are born ready and eager to learn! As caregivers and teachers, it is our responsibility to be facilitators of learning and enhance children’s development. By creating enriching experiences and activities, we can meet the needs of each child. We have developed a program that is child-centered and promotes the growth and development of the child with age-appropriate activities. Our mission focuses on helping children develop the necessary skills that will be the basis for future learning and prepare them for kindergarten. The children at Sprouts of Joy Daycare will learn through exploration, discovery, hands-on activities and most importantly-play. Because play is what children do best!
